This pin was inspired by Sophie’s walk through the portal after discovering the origin of Calcifer and howl’s curse. She follows the ring given to her as her tears flow into the weightless darkness to find him on the other side and protect the one she loves.
"I was looking everywhere for you." (Howl)
This is the first thing Howl says to Sophie when he sees her in the future. Howl exists here in his other form, even though it eats away at his humanity, he uses it to fight in the war, as he said that “I finally found someone I want to protect”. The fires roar around him beyond his control as he fights in the war to protect Sophie’s hat shop and the ones he loves.
